Alcock Hand Colored Courting Couple Red & Gold Coffee Cup & Saucer Circa 1850s A. Beautiful Alcock bone china coffee cup and saucer. Decorated with a hand colored courting couple scene framed in gold gilding.

Has a dark red / maroon background with gold gilt overlay. Marked on the bottom 6/No 1841. Has crazing typical of bone china and some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.

The cup measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 2 5/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 7/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
