Beautiful porcelain coffee cup and saucer. The cup is hand painted with a lady with an apron full of flowers in front of a stone urn and framed by floral scrollwork. The saucer has the same lady in a different dress sitting on a rock and framed by floral scrollwork designs.
The handle of the cup has blue and gold highlights. Marked on the bottom with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark a dot. This mark was used by the royal Meissen factory between 1763 to 1774. Has very minor wear to the gilding, a firing crack through the base of the handle, and some minor stacking flaws to the foot rims. The cup measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 5/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
